Guess what I discovered in Hayward the other day?! A Japanese garden. 😲
（先日ヘイワードで何を見つけたと思いますか？日本庭園です。）
There was a building with Japanese tatami rooms and a bonsai garden with a pond. 🏯
（そこには日本の畳の部屋と池のある盆栽庭園がありました。）
It turns out that Hayward is sister cities with Funabashi in Japan. 🌏
（どうやらヘイワードは日本の船橋市と姉妹都市だそうです。）
The city of Funabashi gifted a memorial stone to Hayward. 🏙️
（船橋市はヘイワードに記念碑を贈ってました。）
The atmosphere here felt quite relaxing and peaceful. 🌿
（ここはとてもリラックスでき、穏やかな雰囲気でした。）
I think the quality of the garden is nice, but it’s not as impressive as the gardens in Japan. 🌸
（日本の庭園と比べると、この庭園のデザインは良いですが、それほど印象的ではないと思います。）
Even so, it was still a pleasant experience!

I saw many visitors walking around and taking pictures. 🚶♂️🌳

I noticed also that some people were carving their names into the wooden surfaces. 🖋️

You wouldn’t see this in Japan because people are taught to take care of public spaces. 🇯🇵

This is one of the cultural differences between Japan and America. 🌍
