My dad wanted to go on a drive in the mountains and my brother wanted to visit a museum.🏛️
（父は山道をドライブしたいと言っていて、弟は博物館に行きたいと言っていました。）
So we decided to go visit the Lick Observatory at Mt. Hamilton in San Jose.
（そこで、私たちはサンノゼのマウント・ハミルトンにあるリック天文台を訪れることにしました。）
The drive up there was really scary because of the winding roads for more than an hour. 😱

If you’re not careful, you can fall off the cliff easily! 😨🛞

But the scenic view at the end of the drive is really wonderful! 🌄

Their first telescope was made in 1888, which was the world’s largest refractor telescope at that time!

「at that time」を使った例文

「in action」は、物事が実際に動いている様子や、人が実践しているところを表します。「実際に行っているところ」「活動している様子」などと訳せます。

「the drive up」は、車で目的地に向かうことを指します。「drive」だけでも「運転すること」「ドライブ」という意味がありますが、「drive up」は特に「（坂や山、遠方へ）車で向かう」というニュアンスがあります。
