If you’re looking for an iconic California beach town, you must visit Carmel.

My family took a day trip to Carmel, and let me tell you, it’s one of the most memorable places I’ve ever visited in California. 🏝️

Carmel is also known as Carmel-by-the-Sea. 🌊

（カーメルは「カーメル・バイ・ザ・シー」とも呼ばれる。）

It’s an oceanside town with European-style cottages, art galleries, vintage shops, and restaurants with amazing food. 🏡🎨🍽️

（この町は海沿いにあり、ヨーロッパ風のコテージ、美術展、レトロなお店、そして評価高いレストランが並ぶ。）

If you love nature, art, or food, Carmel is a perfect getaway for your next weekend!

Upon arriving in downtown area, my family first had lunch at an Italian American restaurant.

（ダウンタウンに到着して、まず家族でイタリアン・アメリカンのレストランでランチ。）

The restaurant had family-style vibes making you feel cozy and warm.

（そのレストランは家庭的な雰囲気で、居心地がとても良い。）

We got to order seafood pasta, fish and chips, and calamari which all tasted really good! 🦐🐟🦑

Afterwards, we looked around downtown to explore and find some nice souvenirs. 🛍️

I was able to find a t-shirt and hat for myself. 👕🧢

In America, people love to buy t-shirts, jackets, and caps with the name of the city they visit. 🌆

（アメリカでは、訪れた都市の名前が入ったTシャツやジャケット、キャップをお土産に買うのが一般的。）

However, I’ve never seen Japanese people wear a shirt that says “HIROSHIMA” or “TOKYO.” 🗼

（でも日本で「HIROSHIMA」や「TOKYO」と書かれたTシャツを着ている人なんて見たことはない。）

I think this is uniquely American culture. 🇺🇸

（これもアメリカ特有の文化なんかな。）

What kind of souvenirs do you like to buy when you visit a new place? 🎁

I wished we could shop for more souvenirs but we didn’t have time. 😢
